Practical skills.
Lives of purpose.
Pastor Edson Wisdom Zeboosi

Welcome to YILED Institute.
When I founded this institute in 2017, my vision was to create a place where people could turn their potential into practical ability—and use that ability to build a better future. I believe education should give a person the confidence and competence to do something useful, earn a living, serve others and contribute to their community.
There is talent all around us. What many people need is an opportunity to develop it, guidance from someone who believes in them, and space to practise until they can work with confidence. That conviction continues to shape the purpose of YILED.
Learning that leads to action
Our commitment to hands-on training grows from a simple belief: a skill becomes valuable when you can apply it. Whether a learner is preparing food, installing an electrical system, creating a garment, telling a story through film or building a digital solution, the goal is to develop ability that can be put to work.
I want our students to leave with more than a certificate. I want them to leave able to demonstrate their skills, solve problems, take responsibility and approach their work with discipline and integrity. These qualities matter in employment, in business and in everyday life.
Opportunity at different stages of life
YILED welcomes people with different starting points: young people seeking direction, school leavers preparing for work, parents balancing responsibilities, and professionals learning something new. Flexible study opportunities help make practical training possible alongside the demands of life.
My vision is for the institute to be a place where learners are taken seriously and encouraged to grow. Starting small should never mean thinking small. A skill, developed patiently and used well, can become the foundation of a livelihood, a business or a new chapter in life.
Skills in service of our communities
As a pastor and an educator, I believe that purpose includes service. The value of our work is also seen in the people it helps. I hope our graduates will use what they learn to meet real needs, create opportunities for others and strengthen the communities around them.
As YILED grows, my commitment remains to practical learning, responsible leadership and opportunities that help people move forward. To our learners, staff, families and partners: thank you for being part of this vision.
To anyone considering their next step, I invite you to begin with a willingness to learn. Bring your ambition, your questions and your determination. Develop your skill, do your work well, and use it to make a meaningful contribution.
